Requirements / Qualifications
- This is an Eligibility Pool only - applicants will be contacted for interviews when positions become available. Required documents include a valid teaching credential.
- CREDENTIALS REQUIRED: A valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential - Mild/Moderate or other valid California teaching credential authorizing teaching in a mild/moderate assignment.
- REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: All required documents must be scanned and attached before submission. Incomplete applications will not be considered. 1. An English Language Learners (CLAD) credential is required. 2. Copy of valid teaching credential (mild/moderate or other valid California credential authorizing teaching in a mild/moderate assignment). 3. Copy of Transcript (official transcripts are required upon hiring). 4. Current resume. 5. Letter of introduction, addressed to Kelly Burke, Ed.D., Executive Director, Human Resources. 6. Three (3) letters of reference, signed/dated within the past 12 months. Applicants are encouraged to include at least one (1) letter of reference from a supervising or site administrator. Applicants who have never held a full-time position are encouraged to have a letter of reference from a site administrator where they completed their student teaching. 7. For phone references, provide the reference's most current cell phone number and email address. 8. Applications must be submitted through EDJOIN; no hard copy documents will be accepted.
- TEACHER INDUCTION: Poway Unified School District offers a teacher induction program to clear the CA preliminary credential at no cost to the employee.
