Elevator Technician - New Orleans

About the role

The Elevator Technician performs field service work on all types of elevators, VRCs, and Rack and Pinion systems using industry-standard methods and procedures. The technician is expected to be an authority on most technical aspects of the elevator industry.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company onsite in an expert and professional manner
• Demonstrate expert knowledge in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Application, and Estimation
• Supervise varied numbers of personnel
• Make decisions and supervise work in the best interest of the company
• Work as a team member at any level required to complete jobs
• Assist the company in maintaining proper appearance, conduct, and productivity
• Acquire and maintain tooling needed to perform technical requirements at a high standard
• Work in a safe and healthy manner

Requirements

• 4+ years' experience in the elevator industry or equivalent
• Possess or be eligible to obtain a CET or NEIEP elevator mechanic's certificate
• Possess or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card
• Elevator knowledge
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and sit or stand for long periods of time
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Computer proficiency
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Pass drug/alcohol screening and background check (DISA)
• Submit to random and annual drug testing as required
• Proven ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
• Knowledge of tools and craft
• Dependable with strong organizational skills
