About the role

Southeast Elevator has immediate openings for an Installation Mechanic Apprentice. The Apprentice position provides great mentoring, training, and hands-on experience with installing and servicing home elevators. Successful Apprentices can be promoted within 12-18 months to a lead mechanic with a commensurate increase in responsibility and compensation during the program as well as after. This is the perfect opportunity to start your career in the Elevator trade.

Responsibilities

• During training, you will work alongside experienced mechanics to learn the installation and servicing of residential elevators and wheelchair lifts.
• As your skills grow, you'll take on more responsibility and independence in the field.
• After Training, You Will Be Able To Install residential elevators and wheelchair lifts
• Work as part of a two-person installation team on job sites
• Assist in training and mentoring new team members
• Interface professionally with customers and general contractors
• Demonstrate strong safety awareness and regulatory compliance
• Develop knowledge of safety codes and industry standards
• Multi-task with patience, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Operate basic computer equipment and mobile devices
• Maintain a clean driving record
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Comfortable working at heights and on ladders
• Ability to lift up to 150 lbs
