Elementary Teacher (Grades K-6) - STEAM Teacher

About the role

Responsibilities

• Teach STEAM subjects to students in grades K-6.
• Follow special work rules during the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years.
• Engage in professional development opportunities provided by Local 933, New Haven Federation of Teachers.

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain the certification requirements as established by Connecticut State Statutes.
• Must have a K-6 Certification 001, 002, 004, 005, 006, 013, or 305.

Qualifications

• Strong background in STEAM subjects.
• Experience teaching grades K-6.
• Ability to adapt to special work rules.

Skills

• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to foster student engagement.
• Knowledge of local educational policies and regulations.

Pay

Salary contingent on degree and years of experience:

• 25-26 School Year: $51,421 - $104,297
• 26-27 School Year: $53,220 - $108,047

*Includes Commissioner's Network Stipend.
