Elementary Teacher – Grades 5–6

About the Role

Legacy Solutions, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and student-focused Elementary Teacher for Grades 5–6 at one of our charter school partners located on the Westside of Jacksonville, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator passionate about helping upper-elementary students grow academically, socially, and personally while creating a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction for students in 5th and/or 6th grade.
• Provide instruction in assigned core academic subjects.
• Develop lesson plans that address varying student learning styles and academic needs.
• Utilize technology and innovative instructional strategies to enhance student learning.
• Assess and monitor student academic progress and use data to guide instruction.
• Provide differentiated instruction, intervention, and enrichment when appropriate.
• Establish clear classroom expectations, routines, and procedures.
• Maintain a positive, structured, safe, and student-centered classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators, and other instructional staff.
• Maintain accurate grades, attendance, student records, and required documentation.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, parent conferences, and school activities.
• Support the school's mission, culture, academic goals, and expectations for student achievement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Previous experience teaching elementary or middle-grade students is highly desirable.
• Strong classroom management, communication, organization, technology, and instructional skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and families.
• Must satisfy all applicable background screening, Level 2 fingerprinting, employment verification, and school compliance requirements prior to placement.
