Position Description
Rocketship Public Schools is seeking enthusiastic, driven, and student-centered Elementary Teachers to join our dynamic school community. These teachers specialize in either Humanities or STEM and play a crucial role in shaping the educational experiences of young students.
What You Will Do
Lead instruction in either Humanities or STEM, fostering a classroom culture that values joy, respect, inclusion, and excitement for learning.
Create a learning environment where students feel safe, known, challenged, and celebrated.
Use strong instruction, student data, classroom routines, and positive relationships to help every Rocketeer grow academically and personally.
Participate in regular coaching, professional development, and team collaboration to continuously improve your teaching practice.
Partner with families through home visits, regular communication, parent meetings, school events, and progress updates to build a strong support system for each student.
Collaborate with school leaders, instructional coaches, special education staff, and wellness partners to ensure the whole child is supported.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Valid Lifetime License, Provisional License, or Charter School License in the appropriate K to 9 or Birth to 3rd endorsement.
Eligibility to obtain a one-year License with Stipulations and enrollment in an accredited credentialing program during the first year at Rocketship.
Commitment to serving students and families in diverse school communities.
Active credential status in good standing throughout employment.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior teaching experience in diverse school communities.
Experience as an elementary teacher, classroom teacher, Humanities teacher, STEM teacher, or charter school teacher.
Experience using student data to guide instruction.
Experience with lesson planning, classroom culture, and student engagement.
Experience building strong partnerships with families.
Interest in growing through coaching, feedback, and collaboration.
Compensation and Benefits
The starting salary for this role is $54,827, with a top salary of $79,534. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 403(b) retirement plan, a flexible spending account, paid time off, and professional development opportunities. Physical Requirements
The physical requirements for this role include regular talking, hearing, and communicating, frequent hand and finger use, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional climbing ladders. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
