Elementary Teacher - Albany Virtual Academy K-5
About the role
The position supports the K-5 students in AVA. The position includes overseeing daily coursework, attendance, planning monthly field trips, tutor and communication for online families. This position also supports other daily AVA functions and is an IN PERSON daily position reporting from approx. 8:00 - 4:00 at the AVA offices located at Central Elementary.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum
- Document teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes
- Create a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment
- Provide feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
Requirements
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, this position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, and a valid teaching license in the state of Oregon. Experience in virtual or online education is preferred.
Qualifications
Knowledge of current educational theories and practices, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with technology.

Pay
Salary Schedule $52,792- $93,707 based on experience and qualifications.

64 Work Days (8/31/2026 - 12/2/2026), IN PERSON daily position reporting from approx. 8:00 - 4:00 at the AVA offices located at Central Elementary.
