About the role
This is a full-time, on-site Elementary School Teacher role based in San Jose, CA.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver standards-based lessons aligned with Voices’ dual-language immersion model, supporting students in both academic content and language development.
- Create and implement curriculum, differentiate instruction, assess student learning, and maintain accurate records.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff.
- Communicate consistently with families about student progress.
- Participate in professional development.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives.
- Support events that foster family and community engagement.
Qualifications
- Strong Teaching and Elementary Education skills to effectively lead and support diverse TK–8 learners.
- Curriculum Development and Education skills to design, adapt, and implement rigorous, standards-aligned instructional plans.
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, engage families, and support bilingual/bicultural student development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required; valid teaching credential and experience in elementary or dual-language settings preferred.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English, commitment to equity for underserved students, and ability to create an inclusive, joyful, and academically focused classroom are highly beneficial.
