About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic grade K–5 teacher who can design and deliver rigorous, engaging instruction while building a classroom where students feel challenged, supported, and inspired. This is a role for an educator who believes deeply in student potential and is committed to driving strong academic outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver standards-aligned, high-quality instruction
- Submit weekly lesson overviews and maintain strong lesson plans
- Use data to drive instruction and ensure student mastery
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
- Build a structured, positive, high-expectations classroom culture
- Maintain a beautiful, organized classroom that showcases student learning, including regularly updated bulletin boards and displays
- Collaborate closely with arts teachers to plan and support school-based events, including performances, art exhibits, and science fairs, and actively participate in these events, including those that take place beyond the school day
- Communicate regularly with families, including parent-teacher conferences
- Collaborate with grade teams and participate in professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred)
- NYS Teaching Certification (or in progress)
- Experience in urban or underserved communities preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus

Pay and Benefits
Pay range and compensation package: $67,000 to $98,000 annually
- Benefits: 403(b) retirement plan, with up to 3% employer match after one year of service, Health Insurance, with free options available for self and children, Dental and Vision Insurance, Life, Short and Long Term Disability Insurance, Flexible Spending Account.
