About the role

This position is designed for individuals passionate about motivating elementary-aged children, energized by measurable progress, and confident that the right mentor can fundamentally alter a child's path.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate dynamic life-skills workshops designed to help K-3 students develop communication, focus, feedback fluency, and other foundational competencies through hands-on engagement rather than passive instruction.
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group coaching using Coachbot analytics, research-backed motivation techniques, and strong interpersonal connections to ensure each child meets ambitious weekly learning targets.
  • Evaluate life-skill proficiency using Alpha's Test2Pass system, continuing to coach students until they exhibit genuine mastery—not simply attendance or effort.
  • Tailor your coaching approach to fit the developmental stage of your cohort, incorporating songs, physical activity, and narratives for younger students while increasing autonomy and responsibility for older learners.
  • Cultivate relationships that give students the confidence to attempt challenges they previously believed were beyond their reach.

Requirements

  • Willing to work on-site at one of Alpha's campuses.
  • Bachelor's degree in any subject.
  • At least 3 years of experience working directly with children ages 4-9 through teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, or similar environments.
  • A track record of motivating young children to achieve challenging goals, with specific examples of your impact.
  • Comfort using AI-powered learning while focusing your own energy on coaching, motivation, and life-skill development.
  • The ability to balance warmth with unwavering expectations.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Background in youth athletics, children's theater, camp direction, Montessori settings, progressive schooling, or high-energy after-school initiatives.
  • First-hand experience reaching ambitious objectives in academic, athletic, or professional contexts.
  • Exceptional storytelling or performance ability that naturally engages young children.
  • Demonstrated success helping hesitant or introverted children grow into confident, active contributors.
