About the role
KIPP Academy Lynn Charter School seeks a Lead Teacher to join our team. This role involves serving as a lead or co-lead in a classroom, fostering a positive and safe learning environment, and driving student growth.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a lead or co-lead in a classroom (or classrooms)
- Ensure all children are affirmed, valued, and challenged every day
- Foster a positive and safe learning environment
- Prepare and internalize rigorous and engaging unit and daily lessons
- Set specific, ambitious growth goals with all students and identify necessary resources
- Innovate on best practices to execute engaging, differentiated instruction
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date student grades/records and communicate regularly with families
- Obtain required MTEL and SEI endorsements within the first year of employment
- Participate in school-wide and individual professional development
- Collaborate with grade level and content teams to tackle common challenges
- Be willing to offer support and receive constructive feedback from colleagues
- Engage in physical and interpersonal skills to support students' needs

- 2+ years of full-time teaching experience

Benefits
The role includes a $1,000 signing bonus and an annual $2,000 retention bonus in subsequent years, as well as other bonuses, when eligible.
Pay
The minimum base salary for this exempt position is $55,000 to $89,500 (per 1.0 FTE/45 hours per week), depending upon years of relevant experience after your Bachelor's degree and any advanced degrees (+$3,000 for 1st advanced degree and +$1,500 for 2nd advanced degree).
