About the role

KIPP Academy Boston Charter School seeks a Lead Teacher to join our team. This role is responsible for leading a classroom or multiple classrooms, fostering a positive and safe learning environment, and driving student growth and achievement.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a lead or co-lead in a classroom (or classrooms)
  • Ensure all children are affirmed, valued, and challenged every day
  • Foster a positive and safe learning environment
  • Prepare and internalize rigorous and engaging unit and daily lessons
  • Set specific, ambitious growth goals with all students and identify necessary resources
  • Innovate on best practices to execute engaging, differentiated instruction
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date student grades/records and communicate regularly with families
  • Perform assigned duties including classroom coverage, bus, lunch, transition, and dismissal duties
  • Collaborate with grade level and content teams
  • Be willing to offer support and receive constructive feedback

Requirements

  • Computer literacy and familiarity with Google Suite
  • 2+ years of full-time teaching experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Benefits

The role offers a competitive compensation package including a minimum base salary of $63,000 to $102,500, a $1,000 signing bonus, and an annual $2,000 retention bonus in subsequent years. Other bonuses are also available.

Pay

The minimum base salary for this exempt position is $63,000 to $102,500 (per 1.0 FTE/45 hours per week), depending upon years of relevant experience after your Bachelor's degree and any advanced degrees (+$3,000 for 1st advanced degree and +$1,500 for 2nd advanced degree).
