About the role
Full-time Instructional Assistant positions are available with Kindergarten - 5th grades. The schedule is 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday - Friday, year-round.
This position requires in-person work in an elementary school to provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and services per Bright Horizons’ policies and procedures, ensuring the safety of children and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all classroom activities to meet the needs and interests of the students
- Help maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones
- Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines
Requirements
- 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED (required)
- 1 year of experience working in an elementary school setting (preferred)
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in education or related field (preferred)
- Valid WA state teaching certificate (preferred)
- Must pass required state and company background checks
- Must meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements
- Compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, Bright Horizons’, and client site requirements concerning immunizations, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training

Pay
The hourly rate of pay for this position is between $27.00 - $30.00 per hour. The pay range reflects what Bright Horizons anticipates offering for this role, with actual compensation depending on factors such as experience, education, training, certifications, and geography.
