About the role
Join our team as an Assistant Teacher for After School Elementary Childcare. We are seeking a dedicated individual to support our students and staff.
Responsibilities
- Support teachers in managing classroom activities and student behavior
- Assist in preparing lesson plans and materials
- Supervise children during breaks and transitions between activities
- Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Experience working with children in a childcare setting
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Pass a background check and criminal history review
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of child development and educational theories
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
