Elementary K-5 Day Treatment Behavior Room Teacher

Position Overview

RSU 20 (Searsport/Stockton Springs) is seeking an Elementary K-5 Day Treatment Behavior Room Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate must hold a State of Maine certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement behavior management strategies within the classroom setting.
• Provide individualized instruction to students based on their unique needs.
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to enhance student learning outcomes.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Education or related field preferred.
• Experience working with children in a therapeutic or special education setting.
• Valid Maine teaching license.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with data collection and analysis.
