Elementary Assistant Principal Interim

Interim Elementary Assistant Principal position at Warring Elementary School for the 2026-27 school year.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and a New York State School District Administrator (SDA) or School Building Leader (SBL) certificate by appointment.
• Minimum six (6) years of K-12 experience: three (3) years at the supervisory/administrative level (elementary) and three (3) years as a state-certified educator.
• Instructional coaching experience preferred.
• Prior administrative experience in an urban, racially and economically diverse district preferred.

About the Role

The Assistant Principal plans, organizes, and implements instructional programs to meet student learning needs, guides students in curricular and extracurricular growth, and establishes the school as an active learning center. Responsibilities include staff evaluation, master-schedule input, student discipline, instructional leadership, and collaboration with teachers and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Principal in developing, implementing, improving, and evaluating the instructional program aligned with state standards, District code of conduct, and Board goals.
• Collaborate with staff to strengthen instruction.
• Confer with teachers, students, and parents on educational and behavioral concerns.

Pay

$109,796 – $129,334 (per PPSAA contract).
