How You Will Impact Education
- Plan and implement a Spanish immersion program aligned with the company's philosophy and objectives outlined in the adopted courses of study.
- Design purposeful lesson plans that use effective instructional strategies to maximize time on task and student engagement.
- Emphasize meaningful language acquisition through real-world applications and culturally relevant content.
- Review and maintain student records to understand individual abilities and learning needs while ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
- Support student achievement using varied learning modalities and differentiated strategies designed specifically for language learners.
- Generate progress reports as required and refer students with suspected learning challenges to appropriate support personnel.
- Coordinate culturally relevant class field trips or school events and prepare students for state-required achievement assessments.
- Remain current in subject-matter knowledge, learning theory, and best practices in language instruction.
- Contribute to ongoing curriculum review and development, including the selection of instructional materials aligned with ACTFL Standards for language proficiency.
Provide a Classroom Environment Conducive to Learning
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and aligns with the maturity and interests of your students.
- Maintain a positive rapport with students while demonstrating patience and a nurturing approach.
- Ensure the classroom is clean, safe, and showcases student-generated work.
- Implement relevant policies governing student conduct and develop reasonable rules.
Instructional Planning
- Develop lesson plans consistent with established guidelines and objectives.
- Plan individual and group learning activities tailored to meet instructional objectives and student needs.
- Provide evidence of class preparation upon request from supervisory personnel.
- Participate in curriculum planning meetings with other staff members and incorporate diagnostic information as required in students' Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Take necessary precautions to protect supplies, equipment, and materials.
School/Community Relations
- Establish cooperative relationships with parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with administration, staff members, and CSUSA.
- Involvement in extracurricular activities to support a positive school culture and provide additional support for students and staff as required.

Job Requirements
- Valid Louisiana elementary or early childhood teaching certification with an endorsement in Spanish or equivalent credentials.
- Demonstrated Spanish language proficiency at a minimum of the ACTFL Intermediate-High level.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- One to three years of successful teaching experience preferred, including student teaching or internship experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience using Student Information Systems (SIS) and electronic communication tools.
- Certain attendance and the ability to follow instructional and administrative procedures.
