Electrophysiology Cardiologist - Per Diem

About the role

We are recruiting a per-diem Electrophysiology Cardiologist to join the cardiovascular team at Porter Heart & Vascular Center located inside Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. This one-week-per-month role focuses on outpatient electrophysiology care, providing evaluation and follow-up for adult patients with arrhythmias and implanted cardiac devices. You’ll work alongside an experienced group of interventional cardiologists, a vascular surgeon, and advanced practice providers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and follow up with adult patients with arrhythmias and implanted cardiac devices
• Collaborate with an experienced group of interventional cardiologists, a vascular surgeon, and advanced practice providers
• Work one week per month, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM
• Manage a patient panel of approximately 14 patients in clinic 4 days a week and 1 procedure day

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Electrophysiology
• Experience in outpatient electrophysiology care
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Current license to practice medicine in the state of Alaska
• Passing score on the USMLE or COMLEX examination
