Electrophysiology Ablation Specialist - Heart and Vascular Electrophysiology Lab

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Responsible to assist in the performance of complex ablation procedures including the gathering of and assisting in the interpretation of EP specific clinical data and intracardiac measurements (i.e. electrograms and 3-D mapping); functioning in the 1st assistant role during ablation procedures and device implants (pacemakers and ICDs); and acting as a resource to other staff regarding ablative and mapping procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the performance of complex ablation procedures including the gathering of and assisting in the interpretation of EP specific clinical data and intracardiac measurements (i.e. electrograms and 3-D mapping).
• Functioning in the 1st assistant role during ablation procedures and device implants (pacemakers and ICDs).
• Acting as a resource to other staff regarding ablative and mapping procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum five (5) years full-time work experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac electrophysiology.
• Current RCES certification required or must obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire OR IBHRE (International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners) certification.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required within three (3) months from date of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• PALS certification preferred; if not certified, certification must be completed within six (6) months from date of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience (2 years).
• Graduate of a CVT or EPT program.
