About the role

The Electronics Technician (ET) Supervisor will be responsible for working with the Program Manager and CNI Talent Acquisitions in maintaining the staffing requirements to fulfill the Electronic Technician positions in the NPP. The ET Supervisor will be responsible for the administrative functions for the ET team to include timesheets, appraisals, training, travel documents and will work closely with the Program Manager and Admin team on additional requirements as needed. This position deploys to McMurdo Station, Antarctica to conduct work locally.

Responsibilities

  • Coaches and trains staff in established quality processes, procedures and expected project deliverables.
  • Leads, supervises and mentors assigned staff.
  • Provides training and direction for ensuring the achievement of maximum performance with high standards and exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
  • Oversees staff and exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
  • Ensures that all ET contract deliverables are tracked and submitted on time throughout the life of the contract.
  • Supports the needs of the program at the sponsor level or with program stakeholders.
  • Coordinates workshops and meetings, develops agenda items, participates in planning sessions, generates meeting minutes, and tracks action items as required.
  • Recommends policies, doctrine, tactics, and procedures.
  • Coordinates and interfaces with various Department of Defense (DoD), non-DoD, and international participants located in and out of the continental United States (CONUS).
  • Provides subject material to develop technical documentation, provides consultation to management personnel, or prepares and conducts training on matters relating to Aviation Command and Control projects, services or projects and research unique to the polar environments.
  • Required travel to Antarctica up to 6 months a year.

Requirements

  • A valid USA passport is required and is reimbursable.
  • Must be able to obtain a T1 Clearance through the government customer.
  • Must pass internal background checks.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to perform job duties in extreme, cold, dark, work environments.
  • Must pass medical and dental examination prior to deployment; expenses are reimbursable.
  • Knowledge and experience performing hardware maintenance, including replacing and/or repairing hard drives, motherboards, video cards, RAM, CPU, monitors, power supplies, network cards, printers and other peripherals.
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently or with a team.
  • Ability to be reliable in attendance/punctuality.
  • Ability to practice and promote required safety standards.
  • Skilled proficiency conducting audits and utilizing quality management systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to persuade others to accept recommendations and to negotiate to find mutually acceptable solutions.
  • Organization, problem-solving, resolution and critical thinking skills.
  • Customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) with formal training from a Technical School or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications.
  • Four (4) years electronics apprentice or equivalent experience.

Pay

Salary range is based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Position is full-time with a schedule that includes required deployments to Antarctica up to 6 months a year.
