Electronics Technician - Subsite Electronics
About the role
Subsite Electronics, a division of The Toro Company, is seeking an Electronics Technician I to join their team. This position is available for Day shift, typically starting at 6:00 AM, with options for either a 4x10 hours or 5x8 hours workweek.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and apply information from interviews, technical literature, and equipment operation to build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic products.
- Use PCB software and design documentation to assist in prototype builds or troubleshooting electronic assemblies.
- Present information to cross-functional teams and document equipment characteristics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Who Are We?
Subsite Electronics, located in Perry, Oklahoma, is part of The Toro Company and specializes in providing electronic products for underground construction professionals, including HDD guidance equipment, utility locators, utility inspection systems, and equipment machine controls.
What Will You Do?
- Analyze and apply information from various sources, including interviews, technical literature, and equipment operation.
- Assemble experimental circuitry on breadboards, PCBs, or fabricated PCBs.
- Recommend changes to simplify assembly, reduce maintenance, and improve functionality.
- Set up standard test apparatus or devise test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional and operational tests.
- Record the effects of testing and modifications on unit performance.
- Use electronic equipment to troubleshoot, analyze circuits, and correct problems.
- Check the functioning of newly installed equipment under actual operating conditions.
- Meet or exceed typical expectations for creativity, productivity, quality of work, and safety.
What Do You Need?
- A minimum of an Associate’s degree in Electronic Technology, Electronic Engineering Technology, or equivalent formal education beyond high school (preferred).
- An HS diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting, soldering, and supporting electronic assemblies (preferred).
- Compliance with ESD guidelines for production parts.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and related engineering information.
- Experience building, testing, and troubleshooting electronic assemblies and fixtures.
- A working knowledge of PCB layout capabilities.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- A good work record of self-motivation, judgment, and productivity.
- Willingness to work overtime or extra hours as needed.
