RTE (Refrigerated Transport Electronics) is a local McGraw company specializing in refrigerated transport technology. We are reintroducing the R-TEL brand of temperature indicators and data loggers, focusing on the critical role of temperature data in cold chain logistics and compliance with FSMA 204 standards.
About the role
Join our team as an Entry-Level Electronics Technician in our New Manufacturing and Remanufacturing division. This position is designed for individuals with no prior experience—we provide full training. You’ll work with advanced reefer controllers, data loggers, and temperature monitoring systems that are vital to the $28B reefer market.
At 02:14 AM on a stormy night, a single missed reefer alarm can trigger a domino effect of failures. Your role will help prevent these costly disruptions by ensuring accurate temperature data and reliable documentation for refrigerated transport.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, test, and troubleshoot R-TEL temperature indicators and data loggers.
- Perform remanufacturing and repairs on reefer controllers (e.g., Navis Ready N4 3.7.5.1).
- Support the implementation of the Smart-Yard Framework to optimize reefer yard operations.
- Assist in maintaining ISO 9001:2015 (UKAS) management system standards.
- Document and analyze temperature data to ensure compliance with FSMA 204 and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the team to identify and address hidden failure points in reefer handling.
