About the role
The Electronics Technician Maintenance II Lab (ETM II Lab) position at Lynker Corporation supports the National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) to provide quality meteorological and oceanographic observations in the marine environment. This role involves designing, engineering, fabricating/integrating, testing, deploying, maintaining/repairing 4 worldwide buoy systems, conducting data analysis, and performing logistics, IT, and programming duties.
Responsibilities
- Electronic component level assembly, bench testing, diagnostics, troubleshooting and/or repair of electronic Line Replaceable Units and processing systems
- Conducting test and troubleshooting down to the component level for environmental monitoring sensors, data collection and processing systems
- Using bench type electronic testing equipment
- Operating, maintaining, and calibrating microprocessor based data acquisition systems, test sets, sensors, laboratory bench equipment and precision calibration electro-mechanical instruments
- Working independently with no direct supervision
- Leading teams
- Performing SMD repairs and IC replacements
- Reading and understanding electronic schematics
- Operating, maintaining, and calibrating microprocessor based data acquisition systems, test sets, sensors, laboratory bench equipment and precision calibration electro-mechanical instruments
Requirements
- At least 4 Years of experience in maintenance, repair, test, and modification of marine electrical and electronics systems including analog, digital and RF Circuitry
- Demonstrated ability in operating, maintaining, and calibrating, micro processor based data acquisition systems, test sets, sensors, laboratory bench equipment and precision calibration electro-mechanical instruments
- Ability to work independently with no direct supervision
- Experience as a team leader
- Knowledge and skill of SMD repairs and IC replacement
- Training/experience in ESD awareness/precautions and proficiency in reading electronic schematics
- Operating, maintaining, and calibrating, microprocessor based data acquisition systems, test sets, sensors, laboratory bench equipment and precision calibration electro-mechanical instruments
Qualifications
- Education: AS/AAS Electronics, Instrumentation, Engineering Technology or related field
