TDXi, a subsidiary of Tanadgusix Corporation (TDX), an Alaska Native Corporation, is seeking an Electronics Technician, Maintenance - Communications located at Eielson AFB, AK. This full-time position reports to the Site Manager and offers an opportunity with an established defense contractor.

About the Role

The Electronics Technician Maintenance I applies basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions. Responsibilities include replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment, and taking test readings using instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes. This role operates under close supervision with frequent accuracy checks.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain all DENRO components and gator radio systems.
  • Monitor/configure systems, including developing new and/or changing TED maps.
  • Operate and maintain data lines (T1 & T3), microwave links, and fiber lines.
  • Ensure required reports and documentation are available and properly maintained.
  • Maintain current tower climb certification.
  • Comply with TDXi’s Quality and Safety Programs and other assigned duties.
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, maneuvering, and carrying weighted objects in various environments (shop, warehouse, bay, tower, flight-line).
  • Function as an operator-maintainer to safely operate and maintain systems like radar, radio, telecommunication, and video equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, service, adjust/align/calibrate, and modify/upgrade equipment per approved directives.
  • Re-establish systems after movements or deployments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and completion of an accredited Technical Apprentice Program in Electronics, equivalent military training, or a minimum of three (3) years’ experience at the journeyman level.
  • Associate Degree in Electronics and experience at the Craftsman level highly desirable.
  • IAT II (A+ software/hardware and Security+) Certification required.
  • Ability to demonstrate basic and advanced technical knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and devices.
  • Skill in interpreting circuit diagrams, manufacturers’ manuals, and similar documents to solve routine problems.
  • Proficiency in using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, voltage and frequency meters, and computer control equipment.

Additional Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen; Secret Clearance or ability to obtain is required.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and apply knowledge of electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.

Competencies

  • Demonstrated ability to perform essential functions under close supervision with frequent accuracy checks.
  • Dual capacity as operator-maintainer for safe and effective system operation and maintenance.
