Electronics Technician III

About the role

The Electronics Technician III performs additional duties beyond those of the Electronics Technician I and II, including but not limited to troubleshooting and implementing corrective/preventive actions, working with Quality Engineers and Mechanical Engineers, and correlating data for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Complete first level analysis and tear-down inspections on returned electronic drives, meeting customer timelines.
• Repair or refurbish electronic drives as needed.
• Troubleshoot and determine root cause/corrective action (RCCA).
• Work with QE and ME to implement desired corrective/preventive actions.
• Perform functions in Oracle – look up Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Perform functions in Matrix – Enter Return Material Authorization (RMA) data and analysis.
• Correlate data, update daily and weekly RMA metrics.
• May require field service travel for up to one-week per visit.
• Apply knowledge from field returns to post-pack audit process.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Electronics or related field is required.
• Knowledge of Electronic theory comprehension from system to component level.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, adjustable measuring instruments.
• Ability to follow written test procedures and verify test limits.
• Proficiency reading wiring diagrams, identifying components, and soldering.
• Self-motivated and capable of completing tasks without supervision.
• Strong leadership ability and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in electronics repair and troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of electronic components and systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Computer literacy, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
