What You’ll Need To Succeed

Candidate should be familiar and will play a crucial role in the maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading Surface ship Torpedo Counter Measures and Defense AN/SLQ-25 systems.

Specific Responsibilities

• Testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic and mechanical equipment to the component level.
• Generating Test and Inspection Reports to document testing, troubleshooting, and repair actions.
• Reviewing and commenting on system test procedures.

Education And Experience

• Associate’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.
• Three to Five years of related experience fabricating, maintaining and repairing electronic components.
• Component-level troubleshooting and repair preferred.

Skills and Abilities

• Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the fabrication, testing, and modification of electro-mechanical components.
• Knowledge of and ability to use the related tools, equipment, and systems.
• Effective organizational skills.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
• Must be able to follow detailed troubleshooting instructions.
• Must be able to work independently and with others.
• Must be able to work onboard ships in industrial environments, as required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders and stairs, squat, and reach for warehoused material.

Additional Information

• Secret Security Clearance required
• Must be a US Citizen
• This position requires occasional travel, approximately one week per month, both CONUS and OCONUS.
• The likely hourly rate for this position is between $30.88 - $40.25.
• Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
• Travel Required: 10-25%
