Electronics Technician

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain test hardware and infrastructure across multiple mobile, desktop and server systems.
• Keep systems running, up to date, swap out processors and other hardware as needed.
• Ensure hardware and validation infrastructure are test-ready in all other ways, supporting client roadmap schedules.
• Work under high pressure situations to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of PC Validation experience.
• MS and Linux OS Knowledge (install, configure, test).
• Strong problem-solving (regression) skills.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Leadership skills to manage project functional issues.
• PC Architecture and peripheral knowledge.
• 2+ years of PC validation/testing experience with good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with PC x86 Architecture.
• System-level knowledge of the following subsystems: Memory, PC Buses (PC1-E, USB, SATA, Ethernet, Processor, Chipset).
• Preferred OS requirements: Install, set-up, configure and troubleshoot: MS Windows OS, Linux OS.
• Experience configuring and changing BIOS settings.
• Experience installing and setting up device drivers.
• Experience installing and setting up applications.
• Experience with PC Hardware setup and configuration: install and configure processors, hard drives, network cards, memory, etc.
• Preferred experience in multiprocessor platforms (workstations, servers, etc.).
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions.
• Enthusiasm to work with others, display team spirit, and support group decisions.
• Able to clearly communicate in written English (email, submit issues, document test results).
• Good organizational skills to plan, prioritize, and manage assigned workload; can efficiently execute multiple projects at the same time.
• Quick learner to pick up and learn new concepts, applications, and operating systems in a short period of time.
