Responsibilities

  • Use mastery of electrician trades skills and knowledge to diagnose and solve electrical problems in manufacturing equipment, machines, and equipment.
  • Create and assemble components and install them as required.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and document maintenance and repairs.
  • Interact fluently with other trades and work areas to complete work assignments; provide technical electrical expertise to mechanics, facilities, and other teams.
  • Facilitate repair of electrical and electronic equipment, induction heating.
  • Design electrical and electronic equipment and edit program changes in automated machines using PLC logic.
  • Maintain parts and materials inventory for electronic equipment.
  • Formulate maintenance of computer programming.
  • Calibrate eddy current inspection equipment and build coils for same.
  • Ensure proper heat control on heat-treating furnaces.
  • Check calibration of measuring devices on RMC.
  • Contribute to the department’s continuous improvement culture.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all matters.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent with Department of Labor Certification OR Associate’s degree from an accredited program in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • 2 years of experience in a similar manufacturing role.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly.
  • Requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Must be able to regularly bend, stoop, crawl, lay down, twist, and push.
  • Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including shoes/boots, hard hats, or respirators.
