Responsibilities
- Works with minimal supervision in assembling, repairing and/or replacing electronic assemblies and interconnects.
- Uses tools and fixtures for precise locating and positioning of parts.
- Adjusts, aligns, and tightens assemblies using hand tools.
- Utilizes certified soldering techniques on SMT and PTH electronic components.
- Utilizes problem solving and trouble shooting skills to identify, repair, and/or report defective assemblies.
- Adjusts, aligns and/or conducts tests, including assisting with the maintenance of test beds and instruments.
- May execute the testing/evaluation of production electrical/electronic products, including power motor controllers and drives.
- Records test results in standard format in a timely and complete manner.
- Maintains clean, orderly, and safe work area, as well as a commitment to teamwork and a positive, supportive attitude to all personnel.
- Observes and complies with all safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in electronic technology or comparable electronics degree.
- In lieu of degree, equivalent years of experience is necessary (2 - 5 years).
- Experience reading calipers, micrometers, schematics, blueprints, and using various hand tools and electronic test equipment preferred.
