Electronics Technician 4 - Charleston, SC

Responsibilities

• Installing and maintaining electronic security systems.
• Performing preventive maintenance requirements.
• Performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory.
• Leading teams on large complex installation projects with limited supervision.
• Leading and documenting daily toolbox talks, ORMs, and Safety Audits.
• Installing and maintaining equipment at both the local and global level per design packages.
• Programming and installation of head end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV systems.
• Troubleshooting and isolating both systems and/or hardware at both a local and global level.
• Leading the on-site software commissioning and testing.
• Leading inspections, evaluations, and inventory.
• Creating, documenting, and tracking RFIs.
• Design assist and providing feedback.
• Documenting daily reports and project progress.
• Communicating project and team member issues/concerns to management.
• Create and manage project schedules.
• Integrate IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems.
• Forecast and manage project labor hours.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and subordinates.
• Guide and mentor technicians.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Valid driver's license
• This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle
• Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance to our policy
• Education: HS diploma or GED, Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours), Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program, or Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program, and 3 years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities
• Progressive Experience: 8+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs, 3 years of the above experience must be focused in electronic security systems
• Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
• Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams
• Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives
• Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills (a plus)
• Must be able to travel 50%

Desired Qualifications

• Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems (CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows operating systems & certifications and experience in installation of said systems)
