About the Role
M.C. Dean is seeking an Electronics Technician 4 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of the SES Strategic Business Unit, you will design, engineer, integrate, operate, and maintain electronic security services, including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audiovisual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial customers across high-growth markets.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electronic security systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance requirements, inspections, evaluations, and inventory.
- Lead teams on large, complex installation projects with limited supervision.
- Lead and document daily toolbox talks, Operational Risk Management (ORMs), and safety audits.
- Install and maintain equipment at both local and global levels per design packages.
- Program and install head-end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV systems.
- Troubleshoot and isolate both systems and hardware at local and global levels.
- Lead on-site software commissioning and testing.
- Perform take-offs from project drawings.
- Create, document, and track RFIs (Request for Information).
- Provide design assist and feedback.
- Document daily reports and project progress.
- Communicate project and team member issues/concerns to management.
- Create and manage project schedules.
- Integrate IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems.
- Forecast and manage project labor hours.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and subordinates.
- Guide and mentor technicians.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required; ACTIVE TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph is REQUIRED.
- Valid driver’s license; may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle with an acceptable driving record.
- Education: HS diploma or GED and one of the following:
- Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours), or
- Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program, or
- Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program.
- An additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in electronics installation and/or maintenance on multiple systems and customer programs.
- 3+ years of experience focused on electronic security systems.
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
- Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills (preferred).
- Must be able to travel 50%.
Desired Qualifications
- Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems (e.g., CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS).
- Experience with AIphone Intercom Systems, Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, and Windows operating systems.
- Certifications and experience in the installation of the above systems.

Abilities
- Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks such as loading/unloading, operating equipment, and transporting materials while following proper lifting techniques and safety protocols.
- Ability to relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
- Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet, including climbing and maintaining balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and ladders.
- Routine and repetitive physical tasks including walking, climbing, lifting, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead.
- Good vision (may be corrected), color vision, and ability to hear and communicate in English.
- Ability to use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
- Ability to recognize when something is wrong or likely to go wrong.
- Ability to apply general rules to specific problems and combine pieces of information to form conclusions.
- Ability to see details at close range.
- Ability to listen to and understand information presented through spoken words and sentences.
Pay
USD $36.00 - USD $60.00 per hour.
