About the role

The Electronics Quality Technician-III supports StreamCaster™ MANET product development and manufacturing. This position is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, at Silvus Technologies' HQ in West Los Angeles.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced visual inspection and rework per IPC-J-STD 001 standards.
  • Perform continuity, resistance, and voltage checks to support root cause analysis.
  • Build and repair custom cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, and test fixtures.
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and test equipment under supervision.
  • Support RMA processing by performing initial diagnostic checks on returned units.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineers to identify process improvements and recurring issues.
  • Document inspection results and communicate non-conformances effectively.
  • Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics assembly, inspection, or rework; OR an Associate’s degree in Electronics with 3 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related field with 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in the use of soldering equipment such as hand irons, bottom burners, and hot air stations.
  • Familiarity with basic test equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, power supply).
  • Proficient in Windows-based data entry and documentation tools.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
  • All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics assembly, inspection, or rework; OR an Associate’s degree in Electronics with 3 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related field with 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Note: Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
  • All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) under IPC-A-610 or IPC J-STD 001.
  • Familiar with low-voltage and RF PCB assemblies.
  • Experience supporting R&D or prototype environments.
  • Knowledge of ESD controls, calibration tracking, and safety procedures.

Working Conditions And Physical Requirements

  • Occasional exposure to heat and cold.
  • Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.
  • Kneel or squat to access lower shelves.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when receiving incoming part shipments.
  • Walking/Moving in the labs.

Compensation

$32.40 - $34.56 / hourly

Basic Requirements
