Electronics Maintenance Technician II (Yermo, CA)

Location: Yermo, CA | Regular Full Time | Hourly Rate: $35.67 (Contingent Upon Contract Award)

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be resolved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents, including:
  • Determining the location and density of circuitry
  • Evaluating electromagnetic radiation
  • Isolating malfunctions
  • Incorporating engineering changes
• Understand interrelationships of circuits and exercise independent judgment in tasks such as:
  • Making circuit analyses
  • Calculating waveforms
• Trace relationships in signal flow using complex test instruments, including:
  • High-frequency pulse generators
  • Frequency synthesizers
  • Distortion analyzers
  • Complex computer control equipment
• Provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of U.S. Army procedures and logistics information systems.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to perform various production control activities, including:
  • Gathering and filing records
  • Reporting on use of materials
  • Monitoring customer requests
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical requirements:
  • Ability to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to crouch, crawl, grasp, or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee, and reach above/below shoulders.
  • Ability to type using a standard keyboard for communication through email and software applications.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 30 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a shop environment that is drafty, noisy, and dirty.
• May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.
• Must have or be able to obtain a forklift license.
