Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to design and develop electronic hardware from concept through prototype and into production. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electronic circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout/placement, and hardware validation. This role works closely with cross-functional engineering teams to develop reliable, manufacturable electronic products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create schematics and support PCB placement/layout, component selection, and Bill of Materials (BOM) development.
  • Perform circuit simulations and analysis using Ansys simulation tools and other industry-standard software.
  • Design power supplies, sensor interfaces, communication interfaces (I²C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet), and microcontroller-based systems.
  • Build, bring up, test, and troubleshoot hardware prototypes using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other laboratory equipment.
  • Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineering teams throughout product development.
  • Prepare engineering documentation, design reviews, and manufacturing release packages.
  • Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM), product validation, cost optimization, and compliance testing (EMI/EMC and safety).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience designing electronic circuits and printed circuit boards (PCBs).
  • Strong experience with schematic capture, PCB placement/layout, and component selection.
  • Experience using PCB design software such as Altium Designer, Cadence, KiCad, or similar.
  • Experience with Ansys simulation tools (HFSS, SIwave, Icepak, CST, or similar) for circuit, signal integrity, power integrity, or thermal analysis.
  • Solid understanding of analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics design.
  • Experience debugging hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and other electronic test equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience taking products from concept through prototype and into production.
  • Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, thermal analysis, and PCB design best practices.
  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages for automation or data analysis.
  • Familiarity with EMC, EMI, and regulatory compliance testing.
