About the role
The role involves reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating test reports and quality conformance inspection summary reports. Traveling to component manufacturers' plants for facilities audits is also part of the responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering reviews and decisions leading to facility certifications.
- Attend government, industrial, and international committee meetings to present technical findings.
- Conduct technical reviews and provide engineering decisions.
- Address technical issues in procurement, failure analysis, value engineering, item reduction studies, and legal investigations.
- Solicit manufacturers and producers of electronic parts to promote the qualification program.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Flexible tour of duty.
- Security clearance required.
- Completion of DoD certification and other requirements.
Qualifications
- Basic Education: Bachelor's degree in Professional Engineering with relevant coursework.
- Specialized Experience: Relevant experience in engineering, testing, and project management.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of electronic engineering principles and practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively and present technical information.
