About the role
The Electronics Customer Quality Lead supports electronics customers in the Americas Industrial Gases West Sub-Region by leading quality engagements, managing product quality risk, and strengthening customer trust. The role involves managing quality activities for bulk gas products, including Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, Hydrogen, Helium, and Carbon Dioxide, produced by Air Products, joint ventures, and third-party partners.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary quality contact for electronics customers, including quality concerns, product qualifications, change control communications, and escalations.
- Lead customer and supplier issue resolution, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
- Manage supplier quality audits, customer alignment, audit close-out, and timely resolution of findings.
- Support business continuity through qualified product sources and contribute to the development of the U.S. electronics quality operating model.
- Influence cross-functional teams without direct authority and support development of future quality capabilities and talent.
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, planning, and execution skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A high attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Data-driven, resourceful, and self-motivated approach to quality management and continuous improvement.
- Experience conducting formal root cause analysis and leading 8D problem-solving processes in customer-facing environments.
- Knowledge of statistical process control and data analysis methodologies.
- Experience working with ISO management systems.
- Strong customer orientation with a commitment to quality excellence, responsiveness, and relationship-building.
- Ability to challenge existing norms, drive innovation, and strengthen customer trust through proactive quality leadership.
- Operational experience in industrial gases, specialty chemicals, semiconductor manufacturing, or related industries.
- Experience supporting customer-facing quality activities, product qualifications, quality escalations, audits, or corrective action processes.
- Ability to travel routinely within North America and occasionally internationally.
Qualifications
- Technical degree in engineering, science, metrology, statistics, or a related field; chemical or mechanical engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Quality, Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or a related technical function.
- Valid driver’s license.

Schedule
Routine travel within North America and occasional international travel to support customer engagement, training, supplier quality audits, and operational quality initiatives.
