Electronics Assembly Technicians

Kelly® is hiring Electronics Assembly Technicians for a direct-hire opportunity with a well-established telecommunications technology company opening a brand-new manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. Selected candidates will complete approximately 6-8 weeks of paid, hands-on training in Los Angeles before transitioning to the new Salt Lake City operation. Relocation assistance of $3,000 is available for candidates moving to Utah.

Schedule

• Training Location: Los Angeles, CA (6-8 weeks paid training)
• Permanent Work Location: Salt Lake City, UT
• Schedule After Relocation: Monday-Friday, 1st shift (6:30am-2:45pm)
• Work Environment: Fully onsite in a clean, organized, air-conditioned facility

Pay

• $18.75/hour with a high school diploma or GED
• $20.75/hour with a bachelor's degree
• Quarterly performance bonus opportunities

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test sensitive electronic assemblies and printed circuit boards
• Complete final assembly of advanced radio communication products
• Perform system testing and production quality-control testing
• Inspect components and completed assemblies for quality and accuracy
• Use tweezers, screwdrivers, bolt drivers, torque wrenches, and other precision hand tools
• Follow detailed work instructions, diagrams, testing procedures, and quality requirements
• Perform basic soldering and work with small electronic components
• Enter assembly, testing, and production information into computer systems (Oracle, Excel, Google Workspace)
• Prepare daily reports and communicate production or testing results
• Identify product or process concerns and escalate issues when appropriate
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
• Participate in continuous-improvement efforts involving quality, efficiency, and workflow

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Enjoy electronics, technology, computers, gaming systems, radios, or hands-on technical projects
• Comfortable using computers and learning new software
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to work with small components
• Ability to accurately follow written instructions and technical procedures
• Comfortable using basic hand tools
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to complete detailed computer-based documentation
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Willingness to relocate to Salt Lake City, Utah
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) due to federal contracts
• Employment contingent upon successfully completing a background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with any of the following is helpful but not required:

• Electronics assembly or repair
• Manufacturing or quality inspection
• Printed circuit boards
• Wiring or cable assembly
• Soldering or desoldering
• Building or repairing computers
• Technical hobbies or DIY electronics
• Precision hand tools
• Linux-based systems
• Oracle, Excel, or Google Workspace

Candidates may complete a brief soldering assessment during the interview process to demonstrate basic fundamentals and attention to detail.
