Electronics and Appliance Technician

About the role

This position involves on-site evaluation of damaged electronics from insurance claims caused by fire, water, or lightning strikes. Tasks include inventory, removal, and transportation of electronics and appliances, disassembly and repair of electronics, and installation of appliances and consumer electronics.

Responsibilities

• Interact positively and empathetically with customers in their homes.
• Treat customer property with care.
• Safely drive company vehicles to job sites.
• Work efficiently in a team environment.
• Maintain a professional appearance and communicate effectively.
• Operate basic PCs and iPads.
• Multi-task and prioritize tasks.
• Show attention to detail and accuracy.
• Handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Complete work that requires working in challenging conditions.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and DOT physical.
• Report injuries immediately and follow up with medical attention if necessary.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in ongoing training.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Document job activities and keep files secure.
• Participate in initial training program.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to work in various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to assist in other areas as needed.
