About the Role

The Electronic Technician Maintenance II will be involved in corrective and preventative maintenance of Video Surveillance systems at Air Force and Navy Child Centers CONUS and OCONUS, supporting the U.S. Navy / Air Force CYP CCTV with Access Control Lifecycle Support Service program. This role requires knowledge of basic and advanced electrical and electronic principles related to security systems and equipment installed at facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide preventive and remedial maintenance services on IP-based CCTV systems.
  • Diagnose and correct equipment malfunctions and failures.
  • Perform function tests and analysis on various systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning on all CCTV system components.
  • Provide on-site system training and technical support as needed.
  • Update web-based maintenance management system and track government equipment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Formal electronics training from: Technical School, Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or a four-year electronics apprentice program.
  • Formal electronics training in: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.
  • Four years of practical experience in electronics repair, maintenance, and checkout.
  • One year of practical experience in electronics installation.
  • Proficiency in standard MS Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to pass a background investigation.

Qualifications

  • Preference for candidates with IP-based CCTV experience.
  • Special consideration for candidates with OEM factory training from Genetec, Axis, and/or Cisco Switches.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Travel

70% travel is required, including throughout the United States and internationally.

Schedule

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm.

This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) position.
