Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform work on various types of electronic equipment and related devices through a combination of installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, construction, and testing
- Operate and maintain electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, digital and analog computers, industrial measuring and controlling equipment, microwave amplifiers and transmission lines, high-voltage power supplies and keying circuits, indicators and displays, and antenna positioning systems
- Apply technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve basic problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data and test equipment
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and effect repairs to restore equipment to required operating condition
- Manipulate computer keyboards and view and interpret computer displays
- Troubleshoot to the component level and make needed repairs
- Identify and report corrections/improvements to technical data
- Identify and report product quality/material deficiencies
- Identify and report supply discrepancies
- Conduct inventories and maintain accountability records, including ancillary and support equipment
- Absorb inspection requirements and implementing approved configuration changes
- Perform equipment status reporting, maintenance data collection and job documentation
- Ensure compliance with Amentum’s Quality Control and Safety Programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics required
- 2-4 years of experience in electronics maintenance, repair, or operations
- Basic knowledge of DC and AC electronics, digital logic, solid-state devices and circuits
- Familiarity with Radar and High-Power transmitters or similar systems preferred
- Ability to interpret manufacturers’ manuals, schematics, and technical documentation to solve routine problems
- Proficiency with electronic test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators
- Familiarity with electronic, electromechanical and computer systems
- Basic troubleshooting skills
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and must meet all requirements for assigned vehicles
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- To work indoors, outdoors and travel to remote locations
- Reside near or be willing to relocate to the vicinity of Fairbanks/Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska
Desired Requirements
- Familiarity with threat systems is desired
- Radar experience desired
- Ability to read Cyrillic is desired
