About the role
Sharp creates unique commercial and clinical packaging solutions for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry through two dynamic international divisions: Sharp Packaging Solutions and Sharp Clinical Services. This role is part of a 1,800+-strong team working from state-of-the-art facilities worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently respond to line calls and conduct preventive maintenance (PMs) on a regular basis.
- Maintain safe work practices at all times.
- Troubleshoot all equipment on site using electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Evaluate equipment malfunctions with urgency to minimize downtime.
- Maintain logs/worksheets of equipment repairs and problems.
- Use all plant electrical test equipment competently.
- Set up line equipment and vision systems in accordance with a Master Production Record.
- Follow and understand production procedures, good documentation practices, and work instructions.
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot Cognex Vision Systems and Systech Serialization Systems.
- Install or assist in the installation of new equipment, including proper layout and alignment.
- Assist other maintenance personnel during major plant breakdowns.
- Work overtime on weekends as required.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Electronics (required).
- Experience with PLC programs (required).
- Experience with Vision inspection systems and control circuits (required).
- Strong troubleshooting skills (required).
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (required).
- Experience adhering to CGMP regulations (required).
- Good oral and written communication skills (required).
- Experience with Robotics and programming (preferred).
