Electronic Technician I - 3rd Shift

About the role

Sharp creates unique commercial and clinical packaging solutions for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry through two dynamic international divisions: Sharp Packaging Solutions and Sharp Clinical Services. This role is part of a 1,800+-strong team working from state-of-the-art facilities worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently respond to line calls and conduct preventive maintenance (PMs) on a regular basis.
• Maintain safe work practices at all times.
• Troubleshoot all equipment on site using electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Evaluate equipment malfunctions with urgency to minimize downtime.
• Maintain logs/worksheets of equipment repairs and problems.
• Use all plant electrical test equipment competently.
• Set up line equipment and vision systems in accordance with a Master Production Record.
• Follow and understand production procedures, good documentation practices, and work instructions.
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot Cognex Vision Systems and Systech Serialization Systems.
• Install or assist in the installation of new equipment, including proper layout and alignment.
• Assist other maintenance personnel during major plant breakdowns.
• Work overtime on weekends as required.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Electronics (required).
• Experience with PLC programs (required).
• Experience with Vision inspection systems and control circuits (required).
• Strong troubleshooting skills (required).
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (required).
• Experience adhering to CGMP regulations (required).
• Good oral and written communication skills (required).
• Experience with Robotics and programming (preferred).
