About the role

Under the department leadership, the electronic technician is responsible for performing scheduled or nonscheduled maintenance and repairs on electronic systems and equipment.

Experience

  • Three to four years' experience and demonstrated skills in the maintenance, repair, and programming of alarm systems including fire alarm, security alarm, access control, and associated video and other equipment.
  • Telephone experience desirable.

Education

  • High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent work experience in related field.
  • Vocational or trade school training in an applicable field preferred.

Licensure/Certifications

  • Must possess a valid California driver's license.
  • This position requires driving. In addition to a valid CA driver's license, the following are required: Automobile insurance as required by the State of California with an acceptable driving record of three points or less, participation in the DMV pull-notice program, and an automobile available for daily work.

  • Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $3.69
  • Hourly Night Shift Differential: $5.53
