This position is located in Palmdale, CA. Relocation assistance is not available. An active US Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation) is required to start. Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance is also required. Travel is expected at 10% of the time.

Responsibilities
- Build, integrate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain communications hardware in laboratory environments, ranging from a single equipment rack to 10+ racks.
- Work from schematics, engineering drawings, interconnect diagrams, and configuration/recovery documentation to support prototype builds, fabrication/modification, startup and shutdown procedures, ATP/delivery, and post-delivery support.
- Perform routine operational and environmental tests, collect data, and isolate faults to the component level to verify conformance with design specifications using standard diagnostic equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, VOM/DVM, signal generators).
- Produce engineering documentation and reports, including drawings such as flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics, and perform detailed calculations and preliminary data analyses using established formulas and guidelines.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- For Level 2: 2 years of related professional/military experience.
- For Level 3: 4 years of related professional/military experience.
- Active US Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings in accordance with ASME and IEEE standards, including rack assembly drawings, interconnect wiring diagrams, and custom cable assemblies.
- Working experience building and installing custom harness assemblies in accordance with industry standards.
- Working experience with industry standards for connectors including, but not limited to D38999, Dsub, twinax, RJ45, etc.
- Color vision to identify cables and wires.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude to learn new material quickly.

- Current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
Pay
Primary Level Salary Range: $56,000.00 - $93,400.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $66,600.00 - $111,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
