Responsibilities
- Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents, including:
- Determining the location and density of circuitry
- Evaluating electromagnetic radiation
- Isolating malfunctions
- Incorporating engineering changes
- Requires understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in tasks such as:
- Making circuit analyses
- Calculating wave forms
- Tracing relationships in signal flow
- Uses complex test instruments, including:
- High-frequency pulse generators
- Frequency synthesizers
- Distortion analyzers
- Complex computer control equipment
- Work may be reviewed by the supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices.
- May provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians.
- Responsible for instrumentation preparation, installation, configuration, operations, maintenance, data collection, de-installation, and recovery maintenance.
Preference will be given to Calista shareholders and their descendants, spouses of Calista shareholders, and shareholders of other corporations created pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, in accordance with Title 43 U.S. Code 1626(g).
