Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair to: Component-level Infrared systems
- Underground proximity sensors
- Night Vision Goggles
- Fiber Optic and RF cable systems
- CCTV systems and components
- Microwave transmission systems
- Infrared and Visible Light cameras, including optics
- Video over IP systems
- Troubleshoot and repair digital and analog devices such as pan and tilt units, infrared and day lenses.
- Solder skills are required on parts as needed.
- Recommend process improvements or procedure modifications.
- Determine types of tests to be performed on various equipment and components.
- Suggest modifications to testing equipment.
- Communicate effectively with other personnel.
- Initiate and prepare written equipment status reports.
- Adhere to Safety and Security processes and procedures.
- Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and technical procedures, or governmental regulations, and write reports, proposals, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Electronics Technology certificate.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and an additional 2+ years of experience may be substituted for education.
- 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electronic equipment.
- 2+ years of experience in RF, Radar, and Microwave receiver and transmitter circuits performing repair and troubleshooting to module and component level using test equipment, like RF generators, RF power meters, antennas, and waveguides, and impedance matching.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must pass a CBP Background Investigation.
