This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing complex electronic systems critical to modern flight, ensuring safety and reliability for millions of travelers and military operations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, modify, and perform preventative maintenance on complex conventional and numerical controlled electronic systems for machinery and test equipment, adhering to environmental health and safety procedures.
  • Work from complex schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, program instructions, and manufacturing manuals to repair factory equipment.
  • Select and use electronic test and calibration equipment, such as oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, tachometers, and related tools.
  • Build apparatus and integrate it with existing systems.
  • Perform calculations to determine component values and line loads for new and existing circuits.
  • Use hand and power tools associated with the trade.
  • Collaborate with plant maintenance for machine relocation and surplusing.
  • Contact vendors to resolve repair issues and check parts availability.
  • Assist other trades as required.
  • Maintain and update schematics and preventative maintenance documentation.
  • Instruct one or two fellow employees in proper performance of duties.
  • Improve processes and solve problems in cooperation with fellow employees and the technical support group.
  • Keep equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean.
  • Perform related duties within the scope of this job function.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Equivalent to 3-4 years of trades training in electronics and associated equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Well-rounded knowledge of electronic circuitry and theory, including digital and analog integrated circuits.
  • Familiarity with basic principles of mechanics, hydraulics, magnetics, and pneumatics as they relate to numerical controlled equipment.
  • Certification for power industrial truck and respirator use.
  • License for over-the-road vehicles.
  • Training in hazardous material handling, confined space procedures, and lock-out tag-out.
  • Knowledge of the National Electric Code and basic computer skills.

Schedule

  • 3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 12:00 AM - 7:00 AM.
  • Training may take place on 1st or 2nd Shift for up to 6 months.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $40.31 - $50.34 per hour. Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including work experience, education/training, and key skills.
