Responsibilities
- Perform work on Access Controls, including card readers, electronic or wireless locks, and card, biometric, and fingerprint devices, among others
- Perform work on Intrusion Systems and Prevention Systems, to include perimeter controls
- Perform work on Video Management Systems, to include Bosch, Milestone, Axis
- Erects safety signage in appropriate areas
- Uses ladders to safely access ceiling crawl spaces and attics, pulling wires, hooking up routes, etc.
- Cleans up installation debris and maintains an orderly workspace
- Analyzes blueprints and building plans to confirm proper placement of wiring, conduit, and intended overall connection plan on a room-by-room and floor-by-floor basis
- Performs system testing and signal verification
- Affords assistance with teammate troubleshooting needs virtually or by phone, as needed
- Affords assessment of tools, inventory, and material needs for replacement and order, as needed
- Maintains deadlines and works in a fast-paced environment with minimum direction
- Maintains a high level of professionalism, in appearance and communication with the public and federal/local community members
- Maintains, enters, and processes expenses in Company system by established deadlines
- Drives company vehicles
- Performs other duties as required
Requirements
- 18+ years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of directly relevant experience in security systems installation
- Experience with access control systems and intrusion detection systems
- Working knowledge of ESS platform experience
- Ability to read blueprints and building plans
- Ability to travel up to 35% within the contiguous United States, as needed
- Ability to be available to travel with short notice for emergency response, as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly
- Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time
- To obtain a Public Trust security clearance
- To possess and maintain an active and valid Florida driver's license without restrictions
- To be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration
Qualifications
- Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen
- To comply with company drug and alcohol policy
- To be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date
