The Operations Superintendent provides multi-site operational oversight, execution enablement, and escalation management across multiple active projects. This role ensures that site teams are properly resourced, aligned to priorities, and operating within safety, quality, and governance standards. The Superintendent does not directly manage daily field execution. Instead, the role acts as a critical support layer between Site Leads and Field Operations Management, ensuring consistent performance, removing barriers to execution, and maintaining operational stability across projects. Multi-Site Operational OversightMaintain visibility into execution status across multiple active job sitesMonitor progress, risks, and readiness indicators across projectsIdentify trends impacting productivity, safety, and qualityEnsure issues are surfaced early and escalated appropriately Site Leadership Support & EnablementServe as the primary support resource for Site LeadsEnsure alignment on priorities, standards, and escalation protocolsAssist in resolving constraints beyond site-level authorityReinforce accountability without assuming execution ownership Field Readiness & Coordination (Oversight)Support resolution of access, logistics, and work-zone challengesCoordinate with general contractors and trades when issues exceed site authorityIdentify and escalate readiness gaps across projectsPrevent systemic issues from impacting multiple sites Safety OversightEnsure consistent enforcement of safety standards across all sitesMonitor for unsafe trends and intervene when necessaryEscalate safety risks and incidents promptlyPromote a culture of proactive safety leadership Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Project Managers to provide field insights impacting schedule and scopeSupport validation of sequencing and execution feasibilityCoordinate with Construction Management on technical assessmentsAssist commissioning readiness in coordination with integration teams Blocker Identification & EscalationIdentify and resolve issues beyond Site Lead authority when possibleEscalateStaffing issues to Field Operations ManagementTechnical concerns to Construction/Engineering teamsSchedule or scope risks to Project ManagersTrack recurring issues through resolution Required Skills & Competencies Strong operational leadership across multiple concurrent projectsExcellent problem-solving and escalation management skillsDeep understanding of field operations and construction environmentsAbility to influence without direct authorityStrong communication and cross-functional coordination skillsSafety leadership and risk identification expertiseMust be able to meet and maintain various certifications, licenses and/or registrations, in accordance with applicable state laws and as required by the electronic security regulations in the state (s) worked.Must be willing to participate in and pass the company’s pre-employment screening process including a background investigation and drug screening.If applicable, must continue to maintain a safe driving record and valid driver’s license to fulfill the travel requirements of this position.
