Electronic & Electrical System Design Engineer (B-1 Avionics Lab) (Associate or Mid-Level)
for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. Must not repeat job title as heading. Must not include Job ID etc. Must preserve all substantive info, remove boilerplate (cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, application instructions). Must not create sections with filler like "commensurate with experience". Must not create Pay/Schedule/Benefits unless posting actually states them. The posting includes Pay & Benefits section with pay ranges and benefits description. Also includes Travel info (occasional domestic travel up to 10%). That could be Schedule? Travel is not schedule. There's no explicit schedule (like shift). It mentions Shift: This position is for 1st shift. That's schedule info. So we can include a Schedule section with that. Benefits: we have description of benefits. Pay: we have pay ranges. So include Pay and Benefits sections. Also maybe a Requirements section (Basic Qualifications). Also a Preferred Qualifications section could be under Qualifications or Skills. The instruction: use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). We need to decide which sections to include based on content.
We have:
- About the role: introductory paragraph describing Boeing, BT&E, AISF, role description. That's substantive.
- Responsibilities: list of responsibilities (Position Responsibilities Include: ...). So include Responsibilities.
- Requirements: Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience). So include Requirements.
- Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience). Could be Qualifications.
- Skills: maybe we could combine Preferred Qualifications as Skills, but we already have Qualifications. Could also have Skills separate if we want. But we should not create thin sections. Perhaps combine Preferred Qualifications under Qualifications. Or we could have Skills section for specific skills like simulation systems, CATIA, etc. But we have those in Preferred Qualifications. Might be okay to have Qualifications section covering both basic and preferred? But we need to follow instruction: Use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It doesn't say we must use all; we can choose which are appropriate.
We have content for About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements (basic), Qualifications (preferred), Benefits, Pay, Schedule (shift). Also Travel info (occasional domestic travel up to 10%) maybe could go under Schedule or a separate section but not required.
We must not include boilerplate like Conflict of Interest, Drug Free Workplace, Export Control Requirements, Equal Opportunity Employer, etc. Those are legal/EEO boilerplate; remove them.
Also remove duplicated lines, application instructions (like "Applications for this position will be accepted until Sept. 09, 2026") - that's application instruction; remove.
Also remove "Visa Sponsorship Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status." That's also boilerplate? Might be considered metadata but not required; we can drop.
We must preserve all substantive information: that includes details about role, responsibilities, qualifications, pay ranges, benefits description, shift, travel, relocation, security clearance requirement, US citizenship, etc. Also note about relocation: "This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility." That's substantive; keep.
Also note about security clearance: "This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required." Keep.
Also note about "Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)" That's in preferred qualifications.
Also note about "Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, and/or other Engineering discipline" etc.
We need to format using headings, - for lists,
for prose.
We must not repeat job title as heading. So no heading for "Electronic & Electrical System Design Engineer". Already not.
We must not put Job ID/requisition numbers as headings; none present.
We must output only HTML fragment.
Let's structure:
About the role
At Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place. We’re committed to fostering an environment for every teammate that’s welcoming, respectful and inclusive, with great opportunity for professional growth. Find your future with us. This engineering position is part of a small highly collaborative design team working multiple lab changes to satisfy customer requirements and ultimately the airmen who use the weapon system. This position is part of the Laboratory Operations team, comprising engineers, technicians, and cybersecurity professionals.
Responsibilities
- Design lab changes for new test articles and integration that support platform upgrades
- Design lab changes to existing systems to resolve Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) incorporating new technology
- Collaborate with the cyber security team to make design changes that support cyber security requirements
- Develop and support the generation of hardware modification and configuration planning
- Direct material procurement for lab design upgrades, modifications, and assembly oversight
- Create test plans and procedures, perform engineering verification, analyze test results, and create test reports
- Perform classification and de-classification of test equipment to support lab users
- Support software engineers in the lab environment, troubleshooting laboratory and test-related problems
- Contribute to proposal development for new business opportunities
- Candidate must be willing to travel for short periods

- 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, and/or other Engineering discipline
- Experience with simulation systems used to test avionics software
- Ability to create or modify electrical and mechanical drawings per ASME Y14 standards
- Experience using Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- Experience with CATIA V5 drafting tools, Linux, and Windows operating systems is desirable
- Avionics experience with the B-1 Bomber or another platform
Pay
Summary pay range Associate Level: $85,000 - $115,000
Summary pay range Mid-Level: $104,550 - $141,450
Benefits
At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent. Elements of the Total Rewards package include competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. The Boeing Company also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and a number of programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work. The specific programs and options available to any given employee may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
Schedule
This position is for 1st shift. Occasional domestic travel up to 10% to support program objectives.
We also need to include relocation info: "This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility." Could be added under Benefits or a separate section? Could add a short paragraph under Benefits or maybe under About the role. But we should preserve it. Let's add a sentence in Benefits paragraph or maybe a separate short paragraph after Benefits. Since we have Benefits section already, we can append relocation info there.
Also need to include security clearance details about interim and final clearance. Already in Requirements (ability to obtain a US Security Clearance). Could add more detail: "An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required." Add to Requirements list.
Also note about "Export Control Requirements: This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee." That's also substantive but maybe considered legal/boilerplate? It's about export control; could be considered a requirement. However it's similar to citizenship requirement. Might be considered boilerplate but it's specific. The instruction says remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate. Export control is legal but maybe not considered boilerplate? It's a requirement for the job. Might be okay to keep. However we already have citizenship requirement; export control adds more detail about US Person. Could keep as part of Requirements.
But we must be careful not to include too much legal. The instruction says remove legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate. Export control is legal but it's a specific requirement for the job; not exactly boilerplate like EEO statement. I'd keep it.
We also have "Drug Free Workplace" etc - that's boilerplate legal; remove.
We have "Conflict of Interest" - legal; remove.
We have "Equal Opportunity Employer" - remove.
We have "Visa Sponsorship Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status." Could be considered metadata but maybe remove as it's not substantive about the job; it's a policy. I'd remove.
We have "Shift This position is for 1st shift" - we included in Schedule.
We have "Travel: This position will require occasional domestic travel up to 10% to support program objectives." - we included in Schedule.
We have "Relocation This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility." - we can add to Benefits or a separate short paragraph. Perhaps add a short paragraph after Benefits: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
