Job Summary
Gavial Enginering & Manufacturing is seeking an Electronics Assembler to join their team. The successful candidate will have soldering experience used in the process of assembling electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Read work orders, follow production drawings and sample assemblies, and/or receive and follow verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
- Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.
- Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
- Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel or printed wiring boards.
- Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
- Makes cables and wiring harnesses using copper wire, co-axial cable, twin-axial cable and fiber-optic cable.
- Attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.
- Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color coding parts and assemblies.
- Performs online inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in electronic assembly or a related field is preferred.
- Soldering experience required (work assembly or hobby related experience).
- J-STD-001 soldering certified preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Soldering experience required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
